OBITUARY
Herky McKnight, 68
Darwin “Herky” McKnight, 68, of Cloverlick, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Harlan ARH.
He was an Army Veteran, retired coal miner at Scotia Mine for 28 years and attended The Totz Church of God.
He is preceded in death by his parents Denver and Minnie Smith McKnight, former wife Linda Faulk McKnight two brothers, Richard “Dickie” McKnight, Roy “Sack” McKnight, two sister, Mary Schuler (George) and Barbara Thomas (Bill), one niece Bobby Jo Davis and one nephew, Robert McKnight.
He is survived by his children Darwin “Mackie” McKnight of Calhoun Ga., Robert Lee McKnight of N.C., and step-son Wayne “Spanky” Duff of Cumberland his sisters Sara “Sissy” Augusta (John) of Johnson City, Catherine “Cat” Robinson of Cumberland and Deborah “Deb” Fields (Shelby) of Benham, brothers David “Dee” of Cumberland, Johnny (Kay) of Cumberland and James “Junebug” (Barbara) of Crab Orchard, four Grandchildren, Tristin, Eric Tyler, Robert Lee Jr. and Shawn and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 25, 2010, from 6pm-9pm at the Chapel of Tri City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 1pm at the funeral home with Reverends Jim Dixon and Mark Turner officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will be in Hall Cemetery, Cloverlick.
