OBITUARY


Gaynelle Pinkerton, 93

 Bessie Gaynelle Pinkerton, 93, Lynch, passed away Tuesday June 1, 2010. She was a native of Harlan County.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Cumberland Church of the Nazarene. She lived a very adventurous life, having been a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII. A seamstress, milliner and wonderful cook, which was her true passion, for many years at Southeast Community College and Lynch Country Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Pinkerton; parents, Luther Price and Mae Mcphareen Price; one brother, Stanley “Mutt” Price, and a sister, Fayla Price Howard.

She is survived by one sister, Beulah Morris, seven nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews and 15 great-great-neices and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 6pm to 8pm and the funeral will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at 1pm at the Chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home. Rev. Dillard Stanley officiating. Burial will be at Peaceful Acres Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
