Hence Halcomb, 77
Hence Halcomb, 77, of Cumberland passed away on Saturday May 22, 2010 at his home following a brief illness.
He was a native of Letcher Co., member of the Blair Chapel Church, and a rock mason for 30 years with the Kingdom Come State Park.
He is preceded in death by his parents James Minigo Halcomb and Arlona Garland Halcomb, seven brothers, three sisters and one grandson Robbie Harron.
Hence is survived by his wife Martha Baker Halcomb, seven children. Beverly Moore (Richard), of Lynch, Debra Short (Jeff) of Lynch, Carmen Halcomb (Janice) of Tn. Leshia Estridge (Joe) of TN. Jennifer Partin (Rodney) of Cumberland, Regina Halcomb and fiancée Robert Messer of Lynch, Dallas Halcomb (Christina) of Pineville. A brother Meshak Halcomb (Christeen) of Cumberland . Ten grandchildren: Lance Short of Lynch, Samatha Sexton of Cumberland, Casey McKnight (Junior) of Cumberland, Angelia Couch (L.J) of Cumberland, Jason Halcomb (Tonya) of Cumberland, Jay Montgomery (Julie) of TN., Shawna Short of Lynch, Sarah Halcomb and T.J May of Pineville and Beverly Halcomb. Six great grandchildren, Elaina and Jason McKnight, Olivia D. Bilbrey, and Logan Bilbrey, Caden Halcomb and Bailey Richards.
Visitation will be held Monday May 24, 2010 from 5-8 pm in the chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home with funeral service at 7 pm. Interment will be in the Olliver G. Halcomb Cemetery in Linefork, KY on Tuesday.
Richard Moore, Robert Messer, Jason Halcomb, Jay Montgomery, Lance Short, and Jeff Short, will serve as pallbearers.
Tri City Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.
